This fasting document does *not* focus deeply on examples of men/women in scripture that fasted, the why behind fasting, but rather on subjects according to God's will that are good for personal/corporate fasts, strategically developed to edify yourself, your church and the global church when unsure what to pray/fast for.

 
Jan 16       PERSONALLY: Ask God for a deep personal hunger & desire for God’s Word

Jan 17       Pray & ask God to reveal himself to you personally in word, in prayer, dreams & visions, that you may know him more fully

Jan 18       Make me personally consecrated Lord; inflict me with a hatred for my sin and a courage to leave it, separated from it

Jan 19       Make me a person of prayer & intercession, useful in prayerful authority and pulling down strongholds

Jan 20       Give me personal vision for the direction of my faith and my calling in these days ahead so I would not run aimlessly

Jan 21       Congregationally, perfect your holiness, purity & empowerment within us, that we may reflect you well as a church body

Jan 22       Congregationally, strengthen the unity amongst us as a body, making us one as You are one.

Jan 23       Congregaitonally, Bring us those called to be found among our body, and prune from us those called to be elsewhere
Jan 24       As a church body, grow us into the mature bride of Christ this year, as you speak of in Ephesians 4.

Jan 25       Congregationally, put a love amonst us that draws the world to the cross and causes us to praise the Father in Heaven.

Jan 26       Give our church body an overflowing heart to serve one another above our own needs, & to walk in service.

Jan 27       Give our whole body, leaders and pastors a shepherds heart, a people who will care for the flock, teach others, train them up

Jan 28       Missions:  Make our hearts as members of CAG burn for the great commission as you remind us the time is short.

Jan 29       Missions:  Lord, commission & call CAG believers out from this house to the north country, across nation & world.

Encouragements for fasting types:
In a corporate fast, we aim for a unified mindset in what we pray for and how we pray
1. One meal a day:  Choose which 1 meal, no snacks in between
2. Liquid only fast- water and juices; excludes milkshakes, sodas, coffees, etc
3. Fruits/veggies ONLY fast- and only in light portions; avoiding ongoing eating and large meals
