Michael Ewing along with his wife Katie have been pastoring Calvary Assembly of God here in Carthage NY since November 2019.
They love life with a large family and have 6 beautiful children: Judah, Zachary, Hadassah, Luke, Anastasia and Sophia.
Pastor Michael is an adventurous outdoorsman, craves the mountains, solitude, reading and writing. He loves the privilege of shepherding our church family and carries out a vision of leading us into being Spirit-empowered believers who live in God's presence and manifest kingdom power and service wherever we go.
He loves evangelism and is passionate about world missions and unreached people and locations, as he came to know Jesus Christ while in a remote Afghanistan village during his time serving in the military as a combat medic/Navy corpsman.
Both He and his wife Katie studied Spanish in language school abroad in Costa Rica for 8 months before becoming missionaries for several years in the Amazon Jungles among the tribes prior to coming to Calvary.
Katie is a meek and joyful soul whose desire is to see the power of the Holy Spirit manifested amongst the people of God. Her passion remains to draw people into the “Throne Room” through proclamations of praise, prophetic worship and songs of deliverance. She is a gifted musician, singer and songwriter, and has released 2 albums that can be found on iTunes and YouTube.
She loves ministering to women of all ages as she leads Women’s Ministry, and enjoys using her hobby to create Kingdom-centered videos to highlight God's work among the people of God.
