OUTREACH

Our local Carthage nursing home partners with Christian churches throughout our region on an every 2 month rotation to serve the residents at the Carthage Center at 2 PM.  Our ministry team sings hymns and shares the gospel with senior adults on Sundays following services.  This ministry is led by Steve Weller. 

Serves our community individuals to provide suitable transformation to and from church services. This ministry is currently only available on Sunday mornings within immediate areas of West Carthage and Carthage.  This ministry is led by Greg Burke.

Serves incarcerated individuals in New York State by visiting inmates to build relationships and share the gospel in a small group visitation-room setting.  This ministry occurs every several months and may involve 1 full day or an overnight plan to minister over 2 consecutive days.  This ministry is led by Pastor Michael Ewing.

Stone Soup serves the Carthage community by providing weekly meals (on a rotation of churches) on Thursdays to community members in need who are able to drive up and take dinner to go. This ministry is led by Linda Dalton.

Widow Care is a ministry centered on taking care of vulnerable widows (and elderly singles) by providing visitation, meeting tangible needs and caring for the widow according to James 1:27.

Wrap-around ministry serves burdened families of our church or community by identifying the factors that burden them and forming a care team around them short or mid-term. Candidate families may include but are not limited to: deployed spouse, immediate loss of a loved one, foster families, single parents, etc..

We know that every Bible-believing church wants to follow the command to care for those that feel orphaned, but often they don’t know how or where to start. If the church doesn’t take a stand for these children, then who will?
